World of Work

The density of regulation in the world of work implies a variety of sanction risks. The scope and detail of the duties for employers and employees permeating the world of work is accompanied by corresponding comprehensive regulations for the punishment of breaches of duty. Violations of the social security law (§ 266a StGB), tax-related breaches of duty (§§ 370, 378 AO), violations of the prohibition of hiring out personnel, the violation of regulations on working hours, occupational safety and hygiene are frequent subjects of proceedings under criminal law or administrative fine proceedings.
